To get anywhere on social media they say, you must be authentic. Be your real self. Show us the highs and lows of your life so we know you are human just like us.
Yet as professionals, we need to be at the top of our game no matter how we woke up that day.
The lines between when to be authentic and when to be professional have definitely blurred and sometimes it’s not clear which is best.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to know that my Dentist woke up feeling a bit off today just before she does my root canal.
All I’m saying is just be conscious of the image you are portraying out there and what, if any damage it could be doing to your professional profile.
