One of the most common disconnects I hear is that lead generation is something most believe they should be doing better but they follow that with “I’ll get to that when we have some time”
The problem is that when you have time, means you are not as busy.
If you are not as busy, you start to become short term focused (to fill the gaps)
Short term focus mostly gives you short term results.
Short term results then mean you are again needing to fill in the gaps later. And so the cycle continues.
Hands up if you are always seemly pushing hard for end of month or end of quarter results and (if you are honest) neglecting the longer game?
My view is that the best time to focus on lead generation is when you are busy because done well, you won’t have quiet times.
