Will our generation leave a legacy worth memorialising?
On the weekend my daughter and I proudly attended the unveiling of a section of plaque at the Maritime Museum in Sydney. Honouring the migrants that came to Australia in search of a better life for them and ultimately those who come after them.
It was a touching ceremony where some shared their childhood memories of their parents or grandparents who had made the one way trip not really knowing what to expect.
The courage my parents and many others mustered to venture to an unknown land with a one way ticket.
Got me thinking about what the subsequent generations are doing. Are we taking big risks for big reward? Are we advancing? Are we doing what it takes?
Will we one day have our names on a big wall?
