#0187 Relics of the Past

Sir Richard Branson for years has cut the tie (literally with scissors) off anyone who shows up for a meeting with one on.

Why, because it doesn’t represent the type of ideal he has built or the culture he embodies.

Right now feels like the most opportune time in recent history to make big moves and retire off relics of the past. Relics that no longer make sense in the modern world.

Here is a short list which I’d love for you to add to:

Starting with the Tie (and maybe the suit too)
9-5
Office space for everyone
The commute every day
Excessive corporate travel
In person meetings when a zoom will suffice
Physical only events
Living anywhere near where you work in the world
Physical only classrooms
Cash, coins & wallets

Now that feels like a future I want my kids to work in.
