Reciprocity vs Kindness.
One has the expectation of getting something in return whilst the other sets no such expectation.
Interpretation of your actions seem to vary person by person.
Forced to defend my acts of kindness recently made me think, what else are we and others misinterpreting.
Once again, clear communication from the get go appears to be the answer.
