There was so much joy and relief in my sons face this week when after 16 months and 120+ hours behind the wheel he passed his driving test to get his P’s.
The few days however leading up to the exam he was a nervous wreck until he asked me a simple question “How do you control your nerves?”
My initial response was, breath deep and focus however when I thought about it, the true leveller was all about preparation.
If you are prepared well, put in the effort and show up with the conviction that you know what needs to be done, then the nerves will calm.
We went for a few more drives, I knew he knew what to do, the missing link was the belief in himself.
Once he got that, he was set and passed with flying colours.
Do you have conviction in what you do?
