#0506 Deep Time

There is always a pull between managing and doing.

Sometimes we must check in, comprehend, delegate, guide, question, approve.

Other times we must simply do.

If I spread my managing meetings throughout the day, I rarely get anything of significance done in-between on those days.

By limiting my managing to either mornings or afternoons I find the rest of the day so much more productive. Much of this is deep work rather than tiny tasks. Work that moves the needle.

To keep yourself in balance, try and give yourself long time slots through the week to get deep work done in order to progress.

It is during these times where true growth happens.
