How hard would you start running if you didn’t know how long the race was, you were unfit and it was your first in a while?
What if I said this was your 6th attempt at a professional event none of which you finished. You would probably call me crazy just for asking the question.
Yet it is exactly what I see happening over and over again observing people try and grow their business.
Got a great idea, seen it work elsewhere, go hard, go too hard, doesn’t work the way you thought, feel deflated, stop. Start again later when you catch your breath.
Attracting, engaging and retaining customers should not be left to random acts of well intended marketing.
It is a process, with clearly defined steps.
Ignore this fundamental principle and you are not really competing in the contest anyway.
